This 1 is for you. Introducing the first .SWOOSH physical sneaker, the Air Force 1 Low ‘TINAJ’. To celebrate our community, we made this shoe exclusively for .SWOOSH members who’ve been riding with us since the beginning. Designed by the team at .SWOOSH, the AF1 ‘TINAJ’ features contrast paneling with distinct details like a .SWOOSH dubrae, pebbled black leather dipped in silky Sail white, vintage web-referential blue accents, and a signature .SWOOSH graphic on the inside of the tongue label. Also, a special foxing embroidery contains a mantra for our community—salute!

Air Force 1 - TINAJ

Designed by #YourForce1 Challenge winner Aaron Roth, Aaron’s virtual creation pays homage to a previous era of technology, in particular cell phones and the 8-bit games that came with them. Wrapped in a “Pixel Rope” design, where this AF1 gets its namesake, Aaron utilizes a matte gray base to heighten pops of color and his simple, yet intricate, design. The T9 text language appears on the heel and midsole—in T9, the heel spells out “Create More” which is a slogan he employs in his job as a teacher. Aaron flipped the “AIR” on the midsole to read “247,” an acknowledgment of how often we’re on our phones in modern times. The outsole also features a referential detail—a red dot, which is a nod to phone notifications and the ability to ignore them. Aaron’s comment here has to do with noise: that distraction can be destructive, but also inspiring. Sometimes, you gotta throw it back to move things forward.
